Villains and Impostors

I will be working with BRITE to do a workshop concerning Impostor Syndrome and Self Perception over zoom.

Impostor Syndrome affects a lot people who perceive themselves as worse than they are. People a lot of the time internalize negative things about themselves, being more aware of these things than the good things. The idea of this project would be to embody or define and stylize the impostor onto a fictionalized entity and/or to stylize or define the villain in a way that would project negative traits onto a more fictionalized figure. These are characters crafted for exploration through improv. Regardless of the outcome, subject to the question, “should the ‘good’ figure win? And if they shouldn’t, could the villain be reformed, if yes, how so?”
